Lifesmart Hot Tub Reviews – What’s the fuss all about?
Well, for starters, Lifesmart Hot Tub is an affordable above-ground, plug and play hot tub that can fit in at least 4 average-sized people comfortably. By plug and play, I mean all you’d need to do is just plug it into an AC socket and switch it on. Pretty easy, right? Let’s talk about its features and discover what exactly makes it so outstanding.
Lifesmart Hot Tub Reviews – Features
Here are some of the features at a glance:
- Above ground Pre-built.
- Capacity: 190 gallons
- 4 Built-in Seats
- Ecosmart Technology
- 1.5hp Heat Pump
- Waterfall Feature
- Digital Control
- 4″ thick Insulated cover
- 13 hydrotherapy jets
- Ozonator
- Red/Blue mood lighting
Is it Portable?
No! It isn’t. Actually, it weighs about 250 pounds so it’ll definitely require a good amount of space. But, I think it does a good job of filling the gap between the fully installed built-in spa, and a high-end inflatable hot tub. One thing I discovered during Lifesmart Hot tub reviews is that you have to place the tub on a uniform surface so it can have all the support it needs to function properly. You should consider how well balanced it’d be on that surface if people are in the tub and when gallons of water are poured into the tub as well.
Digital Controls
Lifesmart hot tub digital control is pretty easy to understand and use. The main control panel is made by the Balboa Water Group, a recognized manufacturer of hot tub controllers around the globe. This control panel is easy to locate and is placed within the easy reach of you and your friends/family. It can be used to control the jets, lightening as well as the temperature.
Easy to Set Up
There’s really nothing to set up or rather, assemble. Just plug into a 110v AC outlet and play once you have put it in a well-balanced place. You might need help putting it in place though as it is quite heavy [I did mention that earlier].
Construction
When it comes to class, I think it’s fair to say that Lifesmart Hot tub has a beautiful and classy outlook. Apart from its sturdy construction, it has a matching sandstone rock-solid exterior that makes it stand out. So, if you have an eye for impeccable home decor, you can add this to your already beautiful home, to match with the environs. I should consider getting this as well. Who doesn’t love a beauty?
13 Hydrotherapy Jets
I think you’d agree with me that one f the major reasons we think to buy our personal hot tubs is because of the jets. I know right? Because, without them, there is nothing special to look forward to so I can as well settle for a regular hot bath. That is not the case for Lifesmart hot tub. Fortunately, it has 13 hydrotherapy jets that can be adjusted with ease, for power and direction.
The comfort valves allow for mixing of warm air and water according to your taste, all for your relaxing pleasure. The jets can be adjusted to maximum power or turned off completely to suit the user. Selectively turning down or turning off jets can increase the power of the remaining jets. I think I love this feature best! Tha’s a huge part of what made me add this to my “decision” list.
Waterfall Feature
Also, there is the waterfall – a thoughtful and very nice built-in feature of Lifesmart Hot Tub. I think it is a great feature but then again, you don’t want to leave it on all the time. If you are worried about the wind altering the direction of the water, you can readjust it. The flow can be regulated from the control valve, with the settings adjustable – full flow, trickle and full off.
Heat Pump
I should mention something about the heat pump. It hums nicely – not too much noise and you can relax for hours with it without causing distractions with its sound. Also, it has a 1.5 horsepower friction pump. It uses the heat from circulating pump as well – very energy efficient, I must say. According to some customer feedbacks, Lifesmart hot tub can manage a 4-5º per hour which is quite impressive compared to the 2-3º per hour most inflatable hot tubs can manage.

Other Features Include
- Well insulated hot tub. With its 4″ thick cover, you can save energy bills. It keeps heat in and also functions as an energy saver so the heat pump doesn’t have to work extra hard to keep the water at the correct temperature. It’s completely made of foam – a complete foam insulation system between the molded interior and the outer layer. If you live in a cold area, you’d definitely love the insulation of this spa as it can consistently stay at 104ºf for extended periods of time.
- It has a top loading filter which can be conveniently checked, cleaned or replaced without draining the spa.
- The Ozone treatment system helps to keep the water clean. However, the tub still needs careful maintenance occasionally, to keep the chemical levels in check. You see, the Ozonator only reduces the amount of chemical treating required to keep the hot tub water crystal clear and healthy. It doesn’t take care of all the tub maintenance so my advice would be that you should have a cleaning schedule.
- A 12 volt light with red and blue lens caps that adds an aura of bliss and excitement at night while using the tub.
Pros – Lifesmart Spa Reviews
Well, a lot has been said already about the benefits but let me give the highlights. I should mention that most customers had lots of wonderful things to say about the product.
- Easy to clean, set up and maintain
- Properly insulated – keeps the heat in, reducing heat loss.
- Very energy efficient
- Well featured – adjustable hydrotherapy jets, waterfall, built-in seats, mood lighting amongst others.
- Near-silent heat pump.
Cons – Lifesmart Hot Tub Reviews
- One of the cons I noticed the absence of water softener. That was one of the features that made Intex 77in catch my eye. Since there is no built-in water softener, you may need to manually soften the water, perhaps during a routine chemical maintenance. That’s if you decide to choose this one.
- Prolonged exposure to very hot sunlight (100º F or 38ºC) isn’t too good for the tub. If you live in a hot area, you should consider getting another brand of hot tub.
- It is very expensive. Lifesmart Rock Solid Simplicity Plug and Play 4 Person Hot Tub Spa With 13 Jets cost about
on Amazon.
Final Thoughts – Lifesmart Hot Tub Reviews
